# Agent Plugins

> Install the Suki Cookbook plugin in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or another AI coding agent so it can run short integration recipes against your codebase

The Suki Cookbook plugin adds short integration recipes to your AI coding agent. Each recipe points at a published [Cookbook](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/cookbooks/overview.md) page, so the agent can apply one focused pattern in your project, such as sharing `emr_encounter_id` across products, verifying webhook HMAC signatures, or wiring Dictation `onSubmit` into a chart field.

Install the plugin once in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Antigravity, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Grok, Kimi Code, or omp. You may need to update plugins after a new release.

> [!NOTE]
>
> * It does not replace [Agent skills](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/references/agent-skills.md), which cover full product workflows, or the [Documentation MCP](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/references/mcp.md), which the agent uses to look up exact fields and pages while it works.
> * Obtain credentials through [Partner onboarding](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/get-started/partner-onboarding.md) before you run generated code against Suki APIs.

## Why use the plugin

Plugins for AI coding agents are packages of agent extensions. A single plugin can bundle any combination of MCP servers, skills, hooks, specialized sub-agents, and slash commands.

The Suki Cookbook plugin ships cookbook recipes as installable skills with slash commands, so you set up the recipes in one step instead of pasting long prompts into every chat. Install it once for your agent, then invoke `/cookbook:{recipe-id}` when you need that pattern. You can still install [Agent skills](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/references/agent-skills.md) and the [Documentation MCP](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/references/mcp.md) separately when you need a full product workflow or live page lookup.

## What's included

### Cookbook recipes

Each published cookbook becomes a skill the agent can load on demand. The skill carries the recipe prerequisites, solution steps, and links back to the matching [Cookbook](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/cookbooks/overview.md) page so the agent can apply the pattern in your repository.

### Slash commands

After install, invoke a recipe with `/cookbook:{recipe-id}` (for example `/cookbook:pass-emr-encounter-id`). Some agents use a different form, so check the install steps for your agent below. On any cookbook page, **Run This Recipe** copies the install and invoke steps for that recipe.

### What you still install separately

* **[Agent skills](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/references/agent-skills.md)** - Full product and SDK workflows (call sequence, environment setup, and accuracy rules).
* **[Documentation MCP](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/references/mcp.md)** - Live search of cookbook guides and related API or SDK pages while the agent implements a recipe.

## Install the plugin

Choose your AI coding agent, then install the Cookbook plugin from [suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins](https://github.com/suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins). Some agents add the repository as a marketplace first, and others install straight from the repository URL.

Client

```bash Claude Code theme={"theme":{"light":"one-light","dark":"material-theme-darker"}}
claude plugin marketplace add suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins
claude plugin install cookbook@suki-cookbook
```

After installing, run `/reload-plugins` inside Claude Code if the recipes do not appear. Invoke a recipe with its slash command, for example `/cookbook:pass-emr-encounter-id`.

```bash Codex theme={"theme":{"light":"one-light","dark":"material-theme-darker"}}
codex plugin marketplace add suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins
codex plugin add cookbook@suki-cookbook
```

Start a new session or open `/skills`. Pick a recipe from the list, or use the slash command, for example `/cookbook:dictation-onsubmit-chart-field`. The Skills menu lists each cookbook recipe after the plugin is installed:

![Codex Skills menu showing Cookbook recipes such as Bearer Provider Id On Login, Browse Cookbook, and Browser Websocket Auth](https://mintcdn.com/suki-1e08f176/YofrCsEXwxmkDU4x/documentation/assets/cookbook-plugin-codex-skills.jpg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=YofrCsEXwxmkDU4x\&q=85\&s=9318ac2304c194041dba1ea64ac19b9f)

1. Open **Customize** → **Plugins** and add a marketplace from GitHub.
2. Paste the marketplace URL:

```text Marketplace URL theme={"theme":{"light":"one-light","dark":"material-theme-darker"}}
https://github.com/suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins
```

3. Install **Suki Cookbook**, then reload the window if the skill does not appear.

Invoke `/cookbook:{recipe-id}` in Agent chat. On any cookbook page, **Run This Recipe** also copies these steps for the recipe you are reading.

> [!WARNING]
>
> If Import fails with `permission_denied` and *Third-party plugin imports are disabled by team admin settings*, that is your Cursor org policy, not a bad repo URL. Ask a Cursor team admin to allow third-party plugin imports under **Dashboard → Settings → Marketplace and Plugins**. Until they do, install the plugin in another client from the list above.

```bash Antigravity CLI theme={"theme":{"light":"one-light","dark":"material-theme-darker"}}
agy plugin install https://github.com/suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins
```

Run `agy plugin list` to confirm that **cookbook** is enabled with its recipe skills.

```bash Gemini CLI theme={"theme":{"light":"one-light","dark":"material-theme-darker"}}
gemini extensions install https://github.com/suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins
```

Gemini CLI asks you to confirm the install. Run `gemini extensions list` to confirm that the **cookbook** extension and its recipes are installed. The recipes load the next time you start Gemini CLI.

```bash GitHub Copilot CLI theme={"theme":{"light":"one-light","dark":"material-theme-darker"}}
copilot plugin marketplace add suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins
copilot plugin install cookbook@suki-cookbook
```

Run `copilot plugin list` to confirm that `cookbook@suki-cookbook` is installed.

```bash Grok Build theme={"theme":{"light":"one-light","dark":"material-theme-darker"}}
grok plugin marketplace add suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins
grok plugin install cookbook --trust
```

Grok loads plugin skills only for trusted plugins, so keep `--trust` on the install command. Start a new session to pick up the recipes, which then appear in the slash menu.

Start `kimi` in your project, then run:

```text Kimi Code theme={"theme":{"light":"one-light","dark":"material-theme-darker"}}
/plugins install https://github.com/suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins
```

Run `/reload` or start a new session to load the recipes. Invoke a recipe with `/skill:cookbook:{recipe-id}`, for example `/skill:cookbook:pass-emr-encounter-id`.

```bash omp theme={"theme":{"light":"one-light","dark":"material-theme-darker"}}
omp plugin marketplace add suki-developer/suki-agent-plugins
omp plugin install cookbook@suki-cookbook
```

Run `/reload-plugins` inside omp if the recipes do not appear.

## How this fits with skills and MCP

Each tool serves a distinct purpose in the agent workflow:

* **Agent skills** guide the agent through a product or SDK workflow, including the correct call sequence, environment setup, and rules for accurate implementation.
* **Cookbook plugin** provides task-specific recipes from [Cookbooks](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/cookbooks/overview.md), with prerequisites and solutions the agent can apply directly in your repository.
* **Documentation MCP** gives the agent access to cookbook guides and related API or SDK references while implementing a recipe.
* **Integration prompts** define the goal, staging requirements, and completion criteria for a larger integration task.

> [!TIP]
>
> You can install the Cookbook plugin on its own when you only need one recipe.

For a full product integration, install the matching agent skill, connect the Documentation MCP, and start from an [Integration prompt](https://developer.suki.ai/documentation/references/integration-prompts.md) so the agent marks anything not in the docs as BLOCKED instead of inventing endpoints or fields.
