micIsInUse is a SukiAmbientCoreError case. Another app is using the microphone, so Mobile SDK cannot start or resume recording.

Catch and recover

Match the case name in your SukiAmbientCoreError handler:
Swift

Fix

1

Catch micIsInUse

Handle micIsInUse in your error UI with a clear message and a retry path.
2

Free the Microphone

Ask the clinician to end the other appโ€™s audio (for example a phone call or another app holding the mic), then retry start or resume.
3

Check Permission and Engine Errors

If the error is needMicrophonePermissionRecording, request permission first. If it is unableToStartRecording, inspect audio engine and AVAudioSession setup. See Mobile SDK error messages.
